A dining table for four that stores in a six-inch gap.
No room for a dining table, but guests still need somewhere to eat. A set of four folding tray tables works as a dining table when they're out and disappears into a six-inch gap beside the fridge when they're not. Solid wood, holds a laptop or a full plate, folds flat in one motion.

One outlet, twelve devices, no extension cords across the floor.
Old apartments have one outlet where you need six. A vertical power strip turns it into a tower of sockets and USB ports on a single cord, so the lamp, the laptop, the phone, and the speaker share one wall without an extension cord across the floor.

One closet, four seasons of clothes. Under-bed storage bins hold the off-season half in the space that was already empty: zippered, with a clear window so you know which one has the sweaters. Flat enough for a bed with six inches of clearance.

When the bed touches the wall on one side and the door on the other, a nightstand doesn't fit. A wall-mounted shelf holds a lamp, a phone, and a book at bed height and takes up no floor at all.
